Frequently asked questions

If the answer is not here, write to us from the contact page.

Does SpectraSEO change my site without my approval?

No. No fix you have not approved is written to your site.

Can I undo an applied change?

Yes. The WordPress plugin has an "Undo all" action; if you remove the Pixel or disconnect the channel in the panel, applied changes disappear from the output.

What can the Pixel not fix?

The Pixel corrects the page output as it is displayed and does not write to your source code; because it runs in the browser, browsers that do not run JavaScript may not see the changes. Server-side fixes such as redirects and writing files do not exist in any channel yet (planned).

What is in the free plan?

1 site and 100 pages per scan. Scanning, the score and applying fixes you approve are included; AI fixes are not.

Why is phone verification required?

Scanning and the score are visible without verification. To apply a fix or connect a channel you confirm a one-time code sent by WhatsApp or SMS.

Which sites does it work on?

Scanning works on publicly reachable sites. To apply fixes you use the plugin on WordPress sites, or the Pixel code added to the head of the page on any other site.

What are credits and how are they used?

Planned: AI fixes are not available yet. Once released, the AI plan will have the AI write the fix; 1 credit is one validated suggestion and no credit is used on a service error or a timeout. Included credits expire at the end of the period; purchased credits do not.

How do refunds work?

There is a conditional refund within 14 days of the first paid period; renewals are not refundable. The used part of AI credits is deducted from the refund.

What is the difference between the raw score and the applied score?

The raw score measures your site itself. The applied score also counts the fixes you approved. Because Pixel fixes are not written to source code the two scores are shown separately; fixes applied with the WordPress plugin live in the site itself, so they are reflected in the raw score too.

What do the severity levels mean?

Issues are ranked Critical, High, Medium, Low and Info, according to their likely effect on the score and on visibility. Fix the Critical and High ones first. Severity is shown with shape and text as well as colour.
